Summary: At the beginning of our stay in Paramaribo, we had a very informative city tour (one morning) with Marina Da Costa. She is historically versed and knows the stories behind the houses and monuments of her city. After all, the city's history is also her family history. She also shared interesting current information. The excursion to the Frimangron (Land for Free People) district was particularly impressive, but we found a gaping, fenced-in emptiness where Anton de Kom's house had once stood. Marina Da Costa's city tour was knowledgeable, entertaining, and warm – highly recommended! Johanna and Susanne
